FEM is a small private integrative medical practice in New Plymouth, New Zealand. The clinic is run by Dr Carey Nazzer who has been a General Practitioner for 20 years and has a previous background in physical education, psychology and research. While working as a GP, she trained in nutritional and herbal medicine and now integrates this knowledge with her medical experience.
FEM aims to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness. An emphasis is placed on trying to identify biochemical and physiological causes that underlie health problems, in particular, how nutrition, lifestyle and environmental factors contribute to these. Great care is taken to utilize the strengths and safety of conventional medical practice. Medical investigations, specialist’s referrals and medications are used when needed.
A wide range of medical and health problems are seen. Well health checks and GP referrals are welcome.
FEM is a private clinic and does not register patients like a normal General Practice and cannot provide acute medical care. The clinic does not receive funding from Primary Healthcare Organisations (PHO’s).
